I feel a burning sensation,
Then my feeling start to rouse -
'Tis without an explanation;
I will wait as time allows.
I cannot accept forever -
That you will come round to see -
I may not be very clever;
Yet attention humbles me.
An uncontrollable flutter -
Like a humming bird's own wings;
They my mind begins to mutter -
Yet afterwards my heart sings.
That lasts a while, then comes regret.
The possibilities start;
All I wanted was love, and yet
Immense sorrow breaks my heart.
Off! That you could sense the heartache
. And if you could feel the pain.
No tears, nor despairing head-shake -
Only happiness would reign.
So let me rest, beneath your arm,
Don't let fears dwell inside you-
E'er long my feeling to be calm;
Given time, you'll love me too.
