26. The Plight

Look, see how she turns her face

To seem as if she copes.

Her mind is in a flurry

As if thought to thought embrace

In lost and fearful hopes

She looses in her hurry.

~

Journeys when they have begun

Are long and fearful

To be someone else, you long.

Yourself you have to shun

Although you now feel tearful

And tired, and very wrong.
