1. Night

Oh give me life's own pleasure soon

Pour me water, pour me wine;

From a cup, in the light of noon,

For I want you to be mine

When I look, the sunset shimmers,

It flows, is the world at rest?

Darkness spreads, the star just glimmers;

Blackbird warm in feathered nest.

~

Longing for to be tomorrow;

For my troubles to be gone,

Tears roll down, falls on my pillow;

Looking for the light that shone.

Reflecting or remembering -

'Twas the hidden path of dreams;

Imagination is stirring -

But all is not what it seems.

~

I yearn for something, not to get;

'Tis an untouchable soul,

My feeling ran if we had met -

Wanting for to claim my goal.

Heaven and Earth, if they doth meet

Must have and answer to give -

Yet I cannot accept defeat

I'll still love, yet will I live?
