Happy Christmas 2008
In February 2009 our village of East Hagbourne had a carpet of snow
Our ping-pong has been improving.
The table top used to belong to Colin's Mum and Dad in the 30s.
It fits nicely along our hall and on our dining table.
For Rogation time Mo organized a concert with much music including our Streatley Church and Two-a-Part choirs
Colin's 70th was celebrated very happily by family and friends at Lizzy and James' house. Much gorgeous food was consumed! Mo made a bicycle-like cake.
In August, We had a surprise French holiday in the Isle de Groix off Brittany with our Belleme friends Jaqueline, Yannick and Gerard.
A broken oak tree in Belleme forest was the inspiration for this silly clock now on the mantlepiece at La Bruyere
116 New Road is getting greener!
In the summer Colin did a DIY
installation of the Navitron solar water heating system.
Here he is putting in one of the Chinese-made vacuum tubes.
It works really well on sunny days even in November
A new water butt feeds rain water to our bathroom toilet. James' old garage door frame was used to elevate it so there are no pumps. Two float valves allow either mains or rain water to be used.
These new LED star-lights take only three watts and delight us with their starry glow in our hall
Wishing you all the best for a
Happy Christmas
and a joyful New Year in 2009
with love from
Colin and Mo
