1. Shut all the shutters: bedrooms, lounge and back door
2. Make sure that all the bedroom and loft doors are shut
3. Lock the back door
4. Stop the boiler by pressing the on/off button
5. Close the gas to boiler with 1/2 turn on the yellow knob under the boiler
6. Close the gas stove with 1/2 turn on knob behind stove
7. Clean fridge and switch off leaving the fridge door open
8. Shut off water in lounge near the TV
9. Shut off electricity in lounge near front door
10. In cold weather, draw all the curtains
11. Lock the front door just the key (leave the upper bolt open)
